(Nov 09 2014 at 06:35am)

How to root Gionee e3 after upgrade to Android 4.4. I stayed up all night yesterday and couldn't find any root tool that does the job but I found a walk around to get the phone rooted and here is a tutorial!
1.first download latest SU Update from here: http://download.chainfire.eu/396/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.94.zip?retrieve_file=1
2. move the zip file to root of sdcard and get ready for SP flashtool part.
3. copy a modified recovery to the kitkat ROM folder (overwrite the original one)
download recovery image here http://www.mediafire.com/download/puw6mdlaac6w544/recovery.img
If you are unable to boot to recovery try this recovery after flashing the first recovery img try this one
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0ELQ1N9_LSZcjNaYzhHUnVDdDA/
preview?pli=1

4. now start sp tool and select the scatter file in kitkat ROM folder and uncheck all files (leave only recovery image checked)
Image
5. now clcik download, turn off your phone and connect it to your computer and wait till your see green circle
6. Unplug your phone and boot to recovery (holding power Key and vol Up till phone boots up)
7. In recovery goto install update from zip and locate the SU update downloaded in step1 (select on the file and press power key to start the flashing of the zip file) After successful flash! Your phone will Have Super User installed with means you are rooted:D

Pritesh Tailor's method
1.Flash Philz Recovery (download link below) with the help of spflash tool.
2.Boot into recovery
3.Go to Advanced Functions
4.Click Re-root System(SuperSu) and wait till process completed.
5.Reboot Device
6.Install SuperSu from Play Store.
7.Open SuperSu and update binary.
8.Reboot Device and enjoy rooted Gionee Elife E3
Download philz recovery

Note:Make a setting in recovery before doing procedure to
avoid screen off. Go to Recovery Setting/GUI preference/Dim
Screen Delay, tap until 0(Disabled) appears in value. do same
procedure for ScreenOf Delay also.
In philz Recovery Sdcard0=Internal Storage
Sdcard1=External Storage(Sd Card)

Vroot Method
vroot tutorial works without stress though most anti virus detects as virustry at your own risk

I tried to root it as said in this page. But SuperSu says there is no binary installed.

In other words, the rooting was not a success.

Any solution/help?
