Q2 d ii
As you move from left to right across a
period, the number of protons (positive
charges) in the nucleus increases. The
stronger positive charge causes the
electrons to be held more tightly. Thus,
the electron affinity increases as you
move across the period.
Electron affinity across a period is not
affected by electron shielding. This is
because, across a period, the valence
electrons are added only to the outermost
shell. The shielding electrons (those in
the inner shells) remain constant across
the period.

Conc in mol/dm3= No of moles/volume
in dm3
volume in dm3 = 250/1000 = 0.25dm3
0.02= No of moles/0.25
No of moles = 0.02 * 0.25 = 0.005mol
No of moles = mass/molar mass
0.005= mass/56
mass = 0.005 * 56 =0.28g

acids, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and docosahexaenoic
acid (DHA), precursors to eicosanoids that reduce
inflammation throughout the body
ii) Fish sauce: is a condiment that is derived from fish
that have been allowed to ferment. It is an essential
ingredient in many curries and sauces.
