How to install xposed framework on customized android rom
(Nov 16 2014 at 09:32am)
Most manufacturers like Huawei, Gionee and the rest release android phones with modified rom and some of the modification makes it impossible to use xposed framework. How ever there is a work around and that's what I will be showing you guys today.
Updated method for Gionee e3/p4/m3 Kitkat version
Steps:
- with a root Explorer goto
Device/system/etc/theme and rename map.properties to amap.properties
- next install xposed installer and install the framework then reboot.
-after reboot you can install gravity box and try out some tweaks to see if it works.
Note! No need to enable "disable resource hook" while using this method.
Issues: this method will wreck stock themes so you can try install any 3rd party launcher as a fix to ugly looking icons.

Old method
Please ignore this method as the first method works fine
Install xposed installer apk open it and before u install/update framework, goto settings on xposed and check the box for disable resource hooks then go back and install/update framework, then manually reboot your phone. That's all now you have xposed installer and can use any mod that does not rely on resource hooks to function.
