Good news for those that do. Whatsapp adds to things you can do while chatting.

Now you can send bold, italic and strick through text

_hi there_ will display will dispaly the message "hi there" in italics
~your message~ for strike through
*message* for bolded text

Update your whatsapp on Android and IOS to try this new feature.
